Come celebrate with WaterWatch and our partners at the Gold Hill Dam Breaking Celebration!

July 16th, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Gold Hill Dam site on the Rogue River

You are cordially invited to attend a “Dam Breaking Celebration” on July 16th, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Gold Hill Dam site on the Rogue River.   See Dam Breaking Celebration flyer for a map and details.

After a decade of hard work and the efforts of many, many groups and hundreds of individuals, the Gold Hill Diversion Dam will be removed this summer!  After Savage Rapids Dam is removed in 2009, only one dam (Gold Ray) will still be in place on the main stem Rogue River between Lost Creek Dam and the coast.

The event location is accessible to persons with disabilities.  There will be a shuttle from the parking area to the event location for persons with mobility difficulties.  A request for shuttle service, an interpreter for the hearing impaired or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made at least 48 hours before the event to Craig Harper or Pat Foley, Rogue Valley Council of Governments, at (541) 664-6674.
