Join WaterWatch of Oregon and a giant cast of anglers, Spey casters, fly fishing guides, casting instructors, and exhibitors from across the Pacific Northwest at the inaugural Rogue Spey Clave on Saturday, Aug. 23rd, at Griffin Park on the Rogue River.
Organized by longtime Oregon fly fishing guides and Spey casting instructors Jon Hazlett and Dax Messett, the Rogue Spey Clave takes inspiration from events like the infamous Sandy River Spey Clave and former Rogue On the Fly events, bringing together Spey casting instruction and demonstrations, tackle demos, fly tying, and local fly shops on the banks of the mighty Rogue River just south of Grants Pass for a day of fishing camaraderie.
With informative and educational presentations from sought-after veteran steelhead guides and Spey casting instructors like Travis Johnson, Leslie Ajari, George Cook, Whitney Gould, Mike McCune, and many others plus the chance to test Spey rods, lines, and reels from numerous tackle brands, this is the perfect event to help prepare for the upcoming fall and winter steelhead seasons!

And don’t forget — thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, all donations to WaterWatch during the month of August will be matched 100 percent up to $5,000 total, and each donation of $50 or more results in one unique entry into a raffle for a guided fly fishing trip with Nick Rowell of Anadromous Anglers.
