Thank You for Helping Us Hit Our Goals with Another Annual Fundraising Success!

Oct. 7, 2024

Great weather, great food, and great company made for a fantastic time on Saturday, Oct. 5th, as WaterWatch celebrated our 22nd Annual Celebration of Oregon’s Rivers at the World Forestry Center in Portland’s Washington Park. And while it was a pleasant, dry fall evening, you made it rain under the tent for WaterWatch! Thank you for your generosity!

Thank you to the artists and artisans who donated so many fantastic, unique pieces to our live and silent auctions, and to everyone who contributed destination packages to the cause, from the San Juan Islands to Baja California, custom fishing and guiding expeditions around Oregon’s rivers and waterways, and so much more. Additional thanks to our friends and long-time fundraising partners at the Marquam Agency.

If you were late on the draw raising your paddle, or are still able to dig a little deeper and help support our work into WaterWatch’s 40th anniversary and beyond, make a gift today via the WaterWatch website or consider a legacy donation package. For questions about how to strategically give, whether as an individual or a foundation, connect with WaterWatch development officer Jesse Robbins

And if you recognized Jesse as one of our High Water Mark speakers on Saturday, you weren’t mistaken. Jesse was joined onstage by Molly Mecham, an environmental sciences student at the University of Puget Sound near Tacoma, and WaterWatch board member Lynn Palensky, the executive director of the Anchorage-based North Pacific Research Board.

We’ve shared a small sample of our event photos shot by photographer Nina Johnson below. All of Nina’s photos are online at our Flickr account, and we’ll share additional photos to our Instagram and Facebook accounts too.
