WaterWatch of Oregon’s 40th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Auction

After months of preparation — atop a highly challenging year advocating for our world-class rivers — WaterWatch of Oregon’s 40th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Auction arrives at Castaway Portland this Saturday evening, Nov. 1st.

We’re looking forward to catching up with you along with WaterWatch’s diverse community of anglers, birders, boaters, conservationists, and river fanatics to celebrate our first four decades and another year of victories for Oregon’s rivers!

We’re also looking forward to getting down to bidding in our live and silent auctions for packages featuring outdoor adventures and getaways across Oregon and around the world, guided fly fishing trips, tackle, local artwork, and much more — all in support of WaterWatch of Oregon in our biggest event of the year. And you’ve got a fantastic dinner coming your way too! It’s going to be a great evening.

Getting there:

  • Castaway Portland is located at 1900 NW 18th Ave., just north of Downtown Portland at NW Upshur St. and NW 18th Ave.

  • For your convenience, we’ve secured parking on a first-come, first-serve basis in a lot one block east of Castaway Portland at 1631 NW Thurman St., located at the northeast corner of NW 17th Ave. and NW Thurman St. just south of the nearby railroad tracks.

  • An entrance to the parking lot is available along NE 17th Ave. just south of the east end of NW Upshur St. There are two additional lot entrances along NW Thurman St. See the map below for details — white arrows denote marked parking lot entrances.

If you’re unable to attend on Saturday, it’s not too late to purchase a Golden Ticket with a one-time gift of $100 to WaterWatch, though they’re going fast! With a Golden Ticket you don’t have to be present to win, and if your number is drawn you’ll be able to choose from many of this year’s live auction packages.

You can also take advantage of our Proxy Bidding option if you’re unable to attend. Email WaterWatch development director Jesse Robbins now for more on how to utilize proxy bidding.

As we’ve noted, we’ve moved indoors to Castaway Portland at 1900 NW 18th Ave. to help celebrate our 40th anniversary. We’ll welcome you with hors d’oeuvres and drinks followed by dinner, with silent auction bidding getting underway at 5 p.m. as soon as doors open. Arrive early so you don’t miss a moment of bidding — our entire catalogue of live and silent auction packages are online now at our auction page!

We’ll see you Saturday at Castaway Portland!
