Our 2023 Celebration of Oregon Rivers Auction Event Was Everything We Hoped For

Sept. 27, 2023

As always, we had a wonderful time seeing so many long-time friends and WaterWatch supporters last Saturday at the World Forestry Center as we auctioned off dozens of one-of-a-kind donor packages at our 21st Annual Celebration of Oregon Rivers.

Because of your generosity and support we have an even stronger hand heading into the next legislative session in Salem, and we’re better equipped than ever to serve in our watchdog role to take on the legal fights and advocacy to preserve Oregon’s rivers, watersheds, and instream water rights.

And that’s just the beginning. Throughout the remainder of the year and into 2024 WaterWatch will continue in its leadership role in removing obsolete barriers to fish passage on Oregon rivers and creeks, reform antiquated water laws, defend and protect our state’s groundwater from overuse and eradication, and protect iconic species and special places throughout the state.

Thank you again to our incredible array of local sponsors, and to everyone who donated an auction item or package. You’re a huge part of the WaterWatch family, and so much of our success is because of you.

And if you were a little late in raising your paddle or missed out on a critical auction package, no shame. Remember, you can still make a contribution to WaterWatch of Oregon throughout the year.

Thank you for your ongoing, enthusiastic support, and for helping us celebrate Oregon’s incredible rivers. Visit our Facebook page for a selection of photos by photographer Nina Johnson from the event.
